2010 12 08 02401 Is It Really Important Who You Partner With In Network Marketing?

Network Marketing can be the best or worst experience you’re ever a part of, as a result of a few key decisions that are made by someone.  What I am about to elaborate on is a very touchy subject for some people in MLM because they do not want you to know this.

Let me give you my experience and we will see then if you can relate to it…..

My first four years in Network Marketing I was involved with some really great people.  They were mostly friends of mine, who I knew through a business or personal relationship.  There were times when I had fun, and there were times when I became extremely frustrated. Unfortunately the times when I was frustrated were more often than the times when I was having fun.

The reason I was not having fun was because I was not making any real money, which was the exact reason why I decided to get involved with MLM.  So why was it that I was not making any money?  It wasn’t because the people I was involved with did not have great big hearts and want the best for me.  It wasn’t because the people I joined weren’t great people.  It was because the people I was involved with did not know how to make money in MLM either.  So it was like the blind leading the blind…

So after a few years of jumping around from company to company, being frustrated and wondering why I couldn’t crack the MLM code, I stumbled upon some people who we’re making it big in the industry.  For months I sat back and watched what they were doing.  I also realized that all the people they were associated with in the industry were also having massive success.  Then I couldn’t help but compare what I saw with what I had known, and those really “nice” people I was involved with.

See I have to thank the folks who brought me into the industry, because they planted the seed for what was about to take place.  I soon began to realize that what was appropriate for one phase of my business was not appropriate for the next.  So I made a bold move and decided to take a risk.  I called one of the guys I had been following and talked to him on the phone.  He literally told me in one phone call what I needed to hear to confirm my already suspicious belief.  He told me, “David, You will either continue on the path you are on and never expand your potential in this industry, or you will branch out and connect with new people who you can align yourself with and build a team of mastermind leaders.”MASTERMIND 150x150 Is It Really Important Who You Partner With In Network Marketing?

That was literally all I needed to hear to have the courage to take the risk I so desperately needed and wanted to take.  I just had to put my hand on something tangible.  Something real.  I started to realize that there are so many people just sitting back watching from the sidelines saying, “Well good for them, but that can never happen to me!”

Is all it took for me was taking that first step of action and make that first phone call.  I learned that my success was directly related to the success of those around me, and if I was going to have any success at all, I needed to align myself with those who had what I wanted.

From that very first day, when I decided to take that very first step of action, things have moved at a pace I didn’t think possible.  Has it been easy?  No.  And anyone who tells you that to have any real success in anything it is a cake walk is just simply lying to you.  But has it been worth it?  Your damn right it has! Every single minute of it.  Because I am the type of person that wants to be challenged.  When I was young, I played a lot of sports and I can always remember my Dad telling me, “Son, if you ever want to get any better, you need to play with the kids who are better than you, instead of just being great around average kids!”  I find that to be true in this instance as well.  You want to be great?  Then get aligned with the best!

So the answer to the question of, “Does It Matter Who You Join In Network Marketing?”  Your Damn Right It Does!  You can either spend all of your time watching from the sidelines or babysitting an unmotivated needy downline, or become a part of a team that is moving in the direction you want to go.  See, as much as a person thinks that they are a leader, everyone is very easily influenced.  If you put a person with no military experience in the middle of a war, they will either surrender or turn into a soldier.  The same goes for Network Marketing.

People only know what they have been taught.  If you are not being challenged with exciting and innovative methods to expand your business, it is likely that it will never grow.  If you are doing nothing but going to company raw raw meetings and never actually strategizing with your team about simplifying the process of team duplication, you will most likely never grow a residual income.  If you are not supplied with real applicable marketing training for your business, you most likely run out of options for your business once you tell all your friends and family.

I tell you all this to inform you that if this sounds like what you have experienced in your MLM, don’t worry.  take action1 150x150 Is It Really Important Who You Partner With In Network Marketing? You have not wasted the time you have already invested in your business.  You just need to get involved with a community mastermind team of real leaders experiencing the kind of results you want.  You may say, “Well no one will ever help me, because they aren’t making any money off of me.”  But I guess to find that out……you will just have to pick up that phone or type in that e-mail address and take that most important first step of ACTION!
